Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38
If you’ve never heard of peptides in skincare before, then you HAVE to know what an amazing ingredient they are and how they can actually improve your skin! Peptides are short chain amino acids that are the building blocks of proteins like collagen, elastic and keratin. They stimulate the cells to produce more collagen or elastin, strengthening the cells, plus can hydrate and soothe too.

- Collagen l – the main component of the dermis.
- Collagen lll – collagen that is made in the early stages of wound healing; diminishes with age

Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate – most stable Vit C
Not all forms of Vitamin C in skincare are equal. Anyone who has used a product with Vit C before only to see it turn a yucky brown can attest to this. So don’t be caught out by marketing without all the details! Here is some helpful info about the form of Vit C that is actually effective in skincare and those that are not.
Non-effective Vit C: L-Ascorbic Acid – it is the most commonly seen Vit C ingredient in skincare and mostly because it is cost effective. But it is known among experts to be notorious at being unstable and oxidizing. Once light and air hit L-Ascorbic Acid it begins to oxide and break down, turning brown and no longer beneficial. I experienced this with a former skincare I used and was disappointed in spending $$$ for nothing. It is also water soluble, which is not effective at passing our skins lipid barrier and having any benefits to our skin at all. Plus many forms can be highly acidic and not very skin friendly.
So let’s look at the BEST form of Vit C in skincare: Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate. This is a stable form of Vit C, meaning it will not oxide but will retain its benefits for use once applied to the skin. It is also oil soluble which means it can and does penetrate the lipid barrier to be able to see benefits to the skin. It reduces melanin synthesis, meaning it will keep your completion brighter and more even toned, plus reduce some hyperpigmentation. It increases collagen production by making the skin more firm and plump. And it is a powerful antioxidant helping to protect from free radicals and reduces fine lines and wrinkles! I literally don’t know how to put it into words…I’ve tried at least 5 different eye creams, at different price points, the cheaper ones never did a thing except give me milia.
